ISO 30301 revision timeline: what is confirmed
There is no ISO 30301 transition deadline yet, and no ISO 30301 transition document exists. This page separates the confirmed public record from the estimate and the Global ACI precedent, so a plan can show a range without pretending it is a rule.
| Date or window | What it is | Status | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7 September 2026 | Stage 50.00, final text received or FDIS registered for formal approval. The proof is in the approval phase. | Confirmed | ISO/TC 46/SC 11 project page, ISO page 89772 |
| 50.20 / 50.60 | Proof sent or ballot initiated, then close of voting. Neither is recorded. | Not recorded | ISO page |
| 18 February 2027 | The planning date used here: 120 days from 21 October 2026. A calculation, not an ISO date. | Estimate | This record |
| 31 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 | Publication window used for the scenario. | Estimate | This record |
| 60.00 / 60.60 | Under publication, then published. The edition becomes certifiable only after publication and the transition arrangements. | Not recorded | ISO page |
| 31 January 2030 to 30 June 2030 | Illustrative transition end, applying the Global ACI three-year ends for ISO 9001:2026 and ISO 14001:2026. No ISO 30301 document. | Precedent, not a rule | Global ACI |
| 31 July 2028 to 31 December 2028 | Illustrative 18-month cut-off for new certificates against the old edition. | Precedent, not a rule | Global ACI |
| At the end | Under the precedent, old-edition certificates are void at the transition end whatever date is printed on them. | Precedent, not a rule | Global ACI |
What to do at each stage
- Now: keep the 2019 certificate maintained, close the 8.2 analysis gap and map the Annex A processes. Those are current requirements, not draft ones.
- When 50.20 or 60.00 appears: read the stage record, update the estimate and tell the person who owns the transition plan.
- At publication: read the published text, confirm the Global ACI date and book the transition at the first audit after publication.
- If integrated: ISO 9001:2026 ends 30 September 2029 and ISO 14001:2026 ends 30 April 2029 under Global ACI. Put all three on one calendar.
The rules this is built from
Every line names its source. The 25 clause-level records and the 3 Annex A records for the requirements that apply today are written from the published ISO 30301:2019, in our words; the evidence and the common gaps are our reading, cited to the clause. The revision layer is read from the public ISO stage record and the committee's published comparison. Where the record is silent, the page says so. Read from the real rules, not invented.
ISO 30301:2019, clause by clause
Each clause page states the requirement in our words, the evidence, the gaps and what to do before the revision lands.
